TERMS OF BUSINESS

About Us

Monopoly Finance Limited registered in England no. 11756674 at 43 Berkeley Square, London, W1J 5AP.

How We Act for You

We offer an independent Bridging Loan advisory service. Any advice or recommendation that we offer you will be based on your circumstances and objectives that you have discussed with us. We will confirm to you in writing the recommendations that we feel are the best suited to your requirements. Should our research suggests a mortgage product from a lender that does not accept business from intermediary brokers or clubs, we will tell you and provide detailed information about that product. However, in these circumstances, you would need to make a direct application.

We provide a telephone-based professional loan advisory service. In the event that you have a complex situation, we may wish to meet you to establish your identity and discuss your requirements “face to face”.

The www.monopolyfinance.co.uk website provides you with the opportunity of researching financial products over the internet. Nothing in the www.monopolyfinance.co.uk website shall be deemed to constitute advice or a recommendation to purchase a particular product or service. When you proceed with our mortgage advisory service we will take this as acceptance and agreement to our terms of business and you will be bound by them.

Instructions

You or we may terminate our authority to act on your behalf at any time, without penalty. Notice of this termination must be given in writing and will take effect from the date of receipt.

Termination is without prejudice to any transactions already initiated which will be completed according to these terms of business unless otherwise agreed in writing. You will be liable to pay for any transactions made prior to termination and any fees outstanding, if applicable.

Mode of Communication

We will enter into communication with you through whatever means are convenient for you and for us, including telephone, email and other acceptable electronic communication methods. We may contact you (unless you state otherwise) from time to time to make you aware of additional products and services that we feel may be of interest to you.

Data Protection

Your personal information is very important to us. We will use the information you provide to us to process your enquiry and provide you with information that we consider will be of interest to you. Processing includes obtaining, recording or holding information or data, transferring it to other companies associated with us, product providers or any other statutory, governmental or regulatory body for legitimate purposes including, where relevant, to solicitors and/or other debt collection agencies for debt collection purposes and carrying out operations on the information or data.

If at any time you wish us or any company associated with us to cease processing your personal data or contacting you for marketing purposes, please contact The Data Protection Officer at our address.

Checking your identity

We are required by the anti-money laundering regulations to verify the identity of our clients, to obtain information as to the purpose and nature of the business which we conduct on their behalf, and to ensure that the information we hold is up-to-date.

Complaints

If you wish to register a complaint, please write to the Compliance Officer at Monopoly Finance Limited, 43 Berkeley Square, London, W1J 5AP.
Where you have a complaint or dispute with us and we are unable to resolve this to your satisfaction then we are obliged to offer you the Financial Ombudsman Service to help resolve this. Please see here for further details.

Client Money

Monopoly Finance is not permitted to handle client money and we cannot accept a cheque made out to us (unless it is in respect of the settlement of charges for which we have sent an invoice) or handle cash.

Protection

Please be aware that most business mortgages, buy-to-let mortgages, loans for timeshare purposes and non-regulated investment accounts (i.e. deposit, or current accounts) do not fall under the Financial Conduct Authority’s umbrella of protection.

We hold Professional Indemnity insurance for your protection.

Whilst every attempt has been made to ensure that the information on the website and that which is being sent to you is correct and up to date, no warranty or representation is given as to its accuracy or reliability. Whilst the website covers a wide range of products, you should also be aware that there may be other products available on the market, which are not shown on the site, and which may or may not be more competitive.
